About me:

Originally from the UK, Australia has been my second home off and on since the 1980’s.

Starting our journey in Hobart, Tasmania my family eventually settled on the Gold Coast and as an adult I returned to Australia and preferred Brisbane as my new home.

I have lived all over the Brisbane and Ipswich areas of South East Queensland thanks to over 4 years of housesitting while I participated in my university studies.

A ‘Jack of all trades’ at heart, I have built a diverse skill set and multiple competencies in a wide range of roles, in multiple industries. This learning and experience has served me well, adapting to embrace new positions of responsibility and new career paths along the way.

My passion has always been in the areas of small business management and marketing and social marketing to encourage social behavioural change. This prompted me to return to education as a mature age student, undertaking a bachelor degree in Marketing at Queensland University of Education (QUT).

Never one to say no to opportunities that come along, I was presented with the wonderful opportunity of continuing my education with a Business Honours degree and this has led me to undertake a PhD in the area of behaviour change.

My focus is always on extending my knowledge and growing my transferable skills. Anything that challenges me adds to this learning; expanding my interests and my social circle. I also embrace any task that will require a creative process. I’m a creative person at heart and I love tasks and goals that allow me to utilise this thinking.
